Outsourcing is a solution for companies to develop technology and innovation projects
Many businesses use technology as a means of providing their final services, such as vehicle tracking companies that, in order to provide the geolocation service of their customers' vehicles, need technological devices: trackers. The same can be seen in telephone and cable TV operators and predictive maintenance service providers, for example.
However, at times, these companies need reinforcement to develop their technology and innovation projects, especially when they have peak demands or projects that involve technologies not yet mastered by their internal team. One of the solutions is outsourcing or strategic outsourcing, which consists of delegating functions to another company or specialized team to increase production, have access to better technologies and reduce costs in the organization.
With the current technological era and the growth of startups, outsourcing research and development (R&D) has become a window of opportunity to meet the new specific needs of companies. “Many companies that are emerging look for an external team when it is necessary to execute a project and do not have specialized labor or adequate infrastructure, bringing faster solutions and without compromising their main business”, explains Jonas Ieno, CEO of Lieno Technology.
Outsourcing also meets the more specific demands of large companies, which gain competitiveness by adding greater expertise with a team specialized in development, while the existing in-house team starts to dedicate itself to its main activity and not with the more specific technical part of the project to be developed.
“At Lieno we supply seasonal and specialized research and development (R&D) demands for our partners in electronic projects, special software, hardware projects, IoT projects, embedded systems projects, technological projects, on-demand developments and product approval ”, comments Jonas Ieno.
Among the projects developed by the company in R&D partnerships is the development of middleware to integrate IoT gateways with a cloud monitoring platform, for the Santa Catarina-based company Dynamox; the NB IoT module integration system in a smart water meter, in a partnership with IFPB, Telit and Sagatech; and an IoT access system to unlock seasonal properties via cell phone, with hardware and software development and use of NFC, QR Code and Bluetooth technologies, in partnership with the company Smart In Tecnologia, from Belo Horizonte.
When it comes to R&D (Research and Development), outsourcing is able to leverage operations and optimize the commitment of resources. In addition, companies can still achieve improved delivery quality, access to technology and specialized professionals.
